A lot of comedy movies have been recently released this week to stream instantly on Netflix, but the one I found the most hilarious was a movie called Lucky. The movie puts a hilarious twist to a serial killer’s life after he ironically wins the lottery, off a ticket one of his victims had, and finally gets the girl he’s been dreaming about since his childhood.

When I first started watching the movie, I didn’t expect it to be funny. I thought it would be just another horrible attempt to turn something serious into something funny and interesting. However, that was not the case for this movie. Within the first ten minutes I could hardly contain myself. The movie itself has serious elements but what makes it so enjoyable and intriguing is the fact that the characters never do what you would expect them to.

Because the characters appear so normal, it was hard to figure out who the serial killer was until it was revealed. One minute the characters are doing something completely normal and then the next their completely out of the ordinary. This element of surprise kept me watching it even though it had tendencies to be a little slow at times. The best part about the movie is the extremely major twist at the end.

If you’ve never heard of this movie I recommend you go check it out on Netflix. I guarantee you will be surprised multiple times.
